Governor Mutua blames garbage collectors for sabotage.
MACHAKOS, KENYA, 16TH JUNE…………………. Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua has promised to do a major shake up in his government so as to ensure efficient service delivery to his people.
Speaking in Matungulu sub-county when he toured the area, Mutua expressed his dissatisfaction with officers charged with garbage collection in the County.
“My government has gone to great lengths to equip the department charged with garbage collection so that they can deliver. Shamefully, due to negligence and sabotage, they have failed to perform to the pain of the people they ought to serve.”
Mutua’s action comes at a time his government is carrying out a massive cleaning exercise in Mavoko area which the said officers had neglected.
Dr. Mutua said he would not allow politics to derail his plans to make Machakos a model county. “It is those that have opted to deny our people essential services that will be shipped out.”
Dr. Mutua also appealed to the County residents to join him for a cleaning exercise planned for Monday June 19, 2017.
