MACHAKOS COUNTY HEALTH WORKERS TO DOWN THEIR TOOLS OVER PROMOTION.

Medics in Machakos county have issued a strike notice to the county government.
The Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists Dentists Union ( KPMDU) lower Eastern region chair , Charles Okumu said that two weeks ago they gave notice to the county health department, the main point of concern being the promotion of the health workers.
They complained of nurses working for over 15 years without a promotion while the other cadres mostly work for 5 years without promotion.
The health workers had prior to the notice had meetings with the county government inclusive of the county Governor Wavinya Ndeti.
