312 PEOPLE, INCLUDING AN MP ARRESTED OVER WEDNESDAY DEMOS- KINDIKI.

Interior CS Kithure Kindiki has said 312 people who directly or indirectly participated in Wednesday’s violent protests have been arrested.
Among the 312 is a member of parliament.
Speaking on Thursday during the official opening of the Kiserian Police station and Olosurutia Sub- location offices in Kajiado county, Kindiki said that the violent protests were an act of hooliganism and lawlessness and that a search for culprits is being undertaken.
Kindiki added that there is no relationship between lowering the cost of living and the destruction of critical infrastructure built using public funds.
