Mlolongo hairdresser found dead in a pit latrine.
Jane Mwende, the hairdresser who disappeared mysteriously from her workplace in Mlolongo, Machakos, a fortnight ago has been found dead.
The decomposing body of Mwende was found in a pit latrine a few kilometres from her workplace on Tuesday, September 12.
Machakos County Police Commander Patrick Lobolia says that the body was discovered after the suspect in the case led officers to the scene.
The discovery brings to an end a two-week search for the 29-year-old hairdresser who went missing after receiving a phone call, never to return.
After their arrest last week, the suspects – a couple – had taken detectives in a circle, taking them to Makongo forest in Wote, Makueni County, Kiserian in Kajiado County before finaly revealing the actual scene in Mlolongo.
On Friday, August 25 while at her workplace – a popular salon in the area, Mwende received a phone call.
