State to priotize NYS officers in recruitment of Police.

Ministry of Public Service and Delivery Management CS  Mosses Kuria has announced that 3,000 police officers will be recruited from the National Youth Service.

The recruitment, the CS said, is part of the partnership between the NYS and the National Police Service.

CS Kuria added that another group of 1,500 officers will be recruited to the Kenya Wildlife Service.

Furthermore, he endorsed the recruitment of 15,000 individuals for the next police force cohort, with the condition that they pass through NYS.

He also emphasized that the government would enhance the Huduma Center and hire individuals from the NYS.

“Public Service will establish more than 800 Huduma Centres across the country, which will be run by officers drawn from NYS,” Kuria pointed.

The NYS call centre will handle feedback and complaints about public service delivery
