The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has formally published the outcomes of the 24 by-elections held on November 27, 2025, confirming the new leaders who will occupy seats in the Senate, National Assembly, and County Assemblies.

In a notice released on Monday, the commission outlined the legal framework guiding the announcement, noting that all declared winners secured the highest number of votes and met constitutional and electoral requirements. The vacancies had emerged following the deaths of sitting leaders and the appointment of others to various cabinet positions.

The mini-polls, spread across several regions, drew considerable national interest as political parties used the contests to gauge their strength and reshape local power dynamics ahead of the 2027 General Election. Among the most closely watched races were in Mbeere North, Ugunja, Malava, Magarini, and Kasipul, where new Members of Parliament were elected after highly contested campaigns.

The gazette notice includes detailed lists of all the successful candidates across the affected Senate, parliamentary, and ward seats, officially ushering them into office.
