Machakos detectives intercepted a Toyota Prado TX in a dramatic anti-narcotics operation after a high-speed chase along the Machakos–Kangundo Road.
According to details released by the DCI, officers from Kyumbi had signaled the driver to stop in the Kaloleni area, but the motorist defied the order and sped off toward Mutituni.
What followed was a tense pursuit that ended with the vehicle being seized. Inside, detectives reportedly discovered cannabis worth an estimated Ksh14.2 million, believed to have been in transit before the attempted escape.
The incident has added to ongoing efforts by security agencies to clamp down on drug trafficking networks operating within the region.
