KCB has committed KShs. 1.5 million in support of Madira Soccer Assassins, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to the growth of Kenyan football and the empowerment of the girl child through education.
The support will be spread across two seasons, with the team receiving KShs. 750,000 each season specifically to support the education of its members. In addition, KCB will provide training equipment, footballs, and other essential resources the team may need to thrive both on and off the pitch.
Speaking during the sponsorship unveiling ceremony, KCB Football Club Chairman Bramwel Simiyu said: “KCB is not new to Madira Soccer Assassins. Over the years, we have proudly partnered with the team to advance education for underprivileged, talented girls while also supporting the growth of this beautiful sport. This is a partnership anchored not just in football, but in purpose and transformation.”
Madira Soccer Assassins made history in 2023 as the only school-based team to compete in Kenya’s top-tier women’s football league. Following a stellar campaign, the team is set to make a triumphant return to the Premier League in the 2025/2026 season.
“This partnership with KCB is a game-changer for our team. It not only fuels our sporting ambitions but also ensures our girls can pursue their education without disruption. We are building more than footballers; we are actively shaping future leaders,” noted Alex Alumirah, Madira Soccer Assassins Director.
During the event, the team also unveiled its new kit in a colourful ceremony attended by Ambassador Ababu Namwamba, FKF leadership, sponsors, partners, and other key stakeholders.
