The DCP party Leader and former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has rubbished allegations that he mobilised goons to destroy properties during the June 25th GenZ protest saying that the government is responsible for the destruction of the property.
The former DP has fiercely played down the government’s sentiments that he was behind the protest that saw properties destroyed and police stations torched in some parts of Mt. Kenya region adding that that was a plot by the government to make him and other leaders look bad in the region.
The DCP Leader was speaking at ACK diocese of Nyahururu during a church service.
Responding to President William Ruto that the protests were nothing other than a planned coup, Mr. Gachagua said that there was nothing of the sort and that is a script that the current administration is using to run away from the real issues that the young people are calling him out for.
Mr. Gachagua has also added that the president called for a National Security council meeting to plan on how he will harass the business community and the protesters when they call for protests in the future.
He has also said that he is working with other like minded leaders from across Kenya to liberate the country from corruption and also form the next government.
