The United States has issued an urgent advisory calling on its citizens to immediately leave multiple countries across the Middle East as tensions linked to the escalating conflict in Iran intensify.

In a security alert released Monday, the US State Department identified a wide range of locations where Americans are considered at heightened risk. These include Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen.

Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs Mora Namdar posted a stark message on X, urging Americans in the affected regions to use available commercial flights to exit without delay. She emphasized that those requiring assistance should contact the State Department for guidance on arranging departure through commercial means.

Later in the evening, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the protection of US citizens remains Washington’s top priority. He announced the activation of a round-the-clock task force to provide real-time updates and support to Americans in the region.

The advisory follows a dramatic escalation in hostilities. Over the weekend, US and Israeli forces carried out strikes in Tehran that reportedly killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei along with several senior officials and military commanders.

Iran has since responded with a wave of missile attacks aimed at US and Israeli-linked targets in several countries, including Kuwait, Iraq, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan.

The rapidly evolving situation has raised fears of a broader regional conflict, prompting Washington to move swiftly to safeguard its citizens amid growing instability.
