Investigative Journalist John Allan Namu while speaking on Financially Incorrect podcast said he regretted spending Sh. 1.5 Million on his wedding.
He said, “We wanted a small wedding. I took out a loan to facilitate part of the wedding. One of the biggest regrets I have is giving in to that pressure. That money would have done so much. It took me time to pay back that loan, the most painful loan I have ever paid. The wedding was great, but it would not have been any less great if we spent less money,” Namu said on the Financially Incorrect podcast.
He advised young couples not to give in to pressure related to spending big on weddings and to save, adding that he hardly saved when he was young
