The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) on Wednesday morning carried out a major operation targeting Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo and several senior officials of his administration over alleged involvement in a Ksh382 million tender scandal.
EACC officers raided multiple homes and offices linked to the county boss and his associates as part of ongoing investigations into suspected procurement malpractices and possible misuse of public funds.
The coordinated operation was conducted across Nyamira, Kisii, and Nairobi counties, with detectives seizing documents, electronic devices, and other materials believed to contain crucial evidence.

According to EACC officials, the searches are aimed at unearthing details surrounding the award of a multi-million shilling tender that is suspected to have been issued irregularly.
An EACC source indicated that the recovered evidence will be analyzed to determine the level of involvement of the targeted individuals and whether public funds were misappropriated.
The commission has assured the public that due process will be followed and that those found culpable will face prosecution once investigations are concluded.
