Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has revealed that he has written a letter to the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, asking for a fair and clear process in implementing the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report.
Speaking at a wedding in Limuru, Kiambu County, Kalonzo said he was worried that Odinga’s recent agreement with President William Ruto might affect how the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is restructured.
Kalonzo also emphasized that although candidates for the IEBC positions had already been shortlisted, the selection of commissioners must be done transparently and fairly.
“We are waiting for the opportune time, the panel selecting the commissioners must nominate people evenly. When we were deliberating on the NADCO report with Kikuyu MP, I called for consultation and concurrence, ” Kalonzo said
The Wiper Party leader added that Kenya’s global reputation has worsened since President William Ruto took office in 2022 blaiming him of ignoring important problems facing Kenyans.
As a country, we have reached a level where nobody, particularly those in leadership, does not know where Kenya is headed. But for us, we are a loyal people’s opposition,” Kalonzo Said.
