The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) has unveiled a new digital platform that will now be the official gateway for health facility registration across the country. The move marks a major step toward digitizing healthcare regulation and enhancing transparency in the sector.

Announced on Monday, May 26, the fully online system aims to simplify the registration process while improving efficiency and accountability in service delivery.

“This digital rollout is part of KMPDC’s commitment to modernizing healthcare oversight,” the Council said in its statement. “By taking facility registration online, we’re improving operational flow, boosting transparency, and ultimately strengthening service delivery.”

To register, applicants must visit the official KMPDC portal and fill in their personal details—including full name, email, and password. The Council advises applicants to ensure email fields are entered without extra spaces, the password and confirmation match exactly, and all fields are completed accurately for a smooth process.

Once initial details are submitted, users must click “Register” and proceed to email verification. An automated verification message is typically sent within seconds; users are encouraged to check their inbox after hitting the “Resend Verification” button.

After confirming their email, applicants can log into their new account by using the same credentials on the sign-in page and clicking the “Login” button.

With the system now active, all new registrations will be handled through the online platform, signaling a shift toward smarter, faster, and more secure healthcare administration in Kenya.
