The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has maintained its firm stance that there will be no late registration for candidates seeking to sit the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) and Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) exams.

The registration process, which began on February 17, is set to close tomorrow, March 28. In its latest update, KNEC has warned that once the portal shuts down, there will be no opportunity for late registration, making this the final chance for schools, parents, and candidates to ensure compliance.

“Finally, please note that the KJSEA Registration portal shall be closed on March 28, 2025, and there will be no provision for late registration of candidates once the portal is closed,” said KNEC CEO David Njengere.

He further reiterated the same for KCSE candidates, cautioning, “There will be no late registration of candidates once the portal is closed.”

KNEC’s firm position reinforces the importance of adhering to the set deadlines, ensuring all students are registered on time to avoid missing the national exams.
