Nigerian religious leader Primate Elijah Ayodele has raised concerns about Kenya’s political climate, warning that President William Ruto could face mounting pressure from both public protests and opposition political activities in the coming months.

In a statement issued on June 16 through the media office of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Ayodele suggested that the country is entering a period of heightened political activity that may test the stability of the current administration.

According to the cleric, opposition figures are likely to intensify their efforts against the government and could introduce unexpected tactics aimed at strengthening their political influence and challenging the President’s leadership.

Ayodele cautioned that growing public demonstrations and political dissatisfaction could become a significant challenge if not carefully managed, arguing that the evolving situation has the potential to alter Kenya’s political landscape.

He further claimed that the opposition is preparing new approaches in its engagement with the government, a development he believes could shape future political contests and influence the direction of national politics.

The remarks come at a time when political debate and public scrutiny continue to dominate discussions on governance, economic policy, and the country’s future trajectory.
