Geoffrey Ruku and Hanna Cheptumo will today face the National Assembly’s Committee on Appointments as part of the vetting process following last month’s Cabinet reshuffle by President William Ruto.
The vetting will focus on two important social ministries. Ruku, who is also the Mbeere North MP, is scheduled for 2:00PM. He has been nominated to head the Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes.
At 4:00PM, Cheptumo will appear before the committee. She has been picked to lead the Ministry of Gender, Culture, The Arts and Heritage.
The committee, chaired by Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, will assess their qualifications, experience, and integrity before approving their appointments.
