President William Ruto says his leadership is guided by planning and discipline, not crowd-pleasing slogans or reactions to criticism.

Speaking during a church service in Elgeyo Marakwet, Ruto dismissed the growing trend of Kenyans shouting “uongo” (lies) during his public addresses. He said such reactions will not derail his administration from delivering on its promises.

“I see some people are worried, saying I am telling lies. I want to tell those saying that what we say will not be fulfilled, we will embarrass you in a short while,” the President said.

He emphasized that leading a country requires thoughtful planning, not empty talk. “I am not a mad man, I know what I am doing so we will plan all things,” he added.

Ruto said part of his strategy includes investing in education at all levels to ensure Kenya builds a strong base of skilled professionals for the future.

Rather than respond emotionally to critics, the President said his focus is on ensuring the government sticks to its development blueprint and proves doubters wrong through results.
