Bus Loses Control on Nairobi’s Valley Road, Leaving One Dead and Three Injured

A fatal road crash involving a city shuttle bus caused chaos along Valley Road in Nairobi on Monday morning, leaving one person dead and three others injured.

The accident occurred near the Pan Afric Hotel when the bus reportedly developed mechanical problems and lost control. Witnesses said the vehicle’s brakes failed before it veered off its lane and slammed into oncoming traffic.

In the collision, the bus struck three vehicles, damaging them significantly. A motorbike rider is believed to have been dragged for a distance during the crash and later succumbed to injuries, while three other people sustained injuries and were rushed for treatment.

The incident briefly disrupted traffic along the busy Valley Road corridor as emergency teams responded to the scene.

Police officers and rescue personnel were deployed to assist victims and clear the roadway. The damaged bus was later towed away as investigators began examining the circumstances surrounding the accident.

Authorities are expected to determine whether mechanical failure or other factors contributed to the crash.
