Wales football star Aaron Ramsey has doubled the reward for information leading to the recovery of his missing dog, Halo, who disappeared in Mexico earlier this month. The midfielder, currently playing for Pumas UNAM in Mexico City, is now offering $20,000 (about Sh2.58 million) for any credible leads.

Halo, a 10-year-old beagle, was last seen on October 9 in San Miguel de Allende, located in Mexico’s Guanajuato region. The dog was wearing a tracker collar at the time, and Ramsey has since shared the last known location on Google Maps in hopes of finding her.

“Any news about our Halo, please contact us. Big reward for finding her. We are all praying she’s okay and can be back with us soon,” Ramsey appealed in an Instagram post.

The former Arsenal and Cardiff City player initially offered a $10,000 (Sh1.29 million) reward, but after a week with no progress, he and his family decided to double the amount. “We just want our girl back,” he said in another emotional message shared online.

In his latest post, Ramsey shared a black-and-white photo showing Halo asleep with her head resting on his arm, captioned: “What I’d do to hold you one last time, Halo.”

His wife, Colleen Ramsey, also expressed her heartbreak on social media, revealing that the family has “serious questions” about the dog’s disappearance and fears they “may never get answers.”

“We still haven’t found Halo. I don’t think we ever will,” she wrote, adding to the family’s growing sense of despair over their missing pet.
