Former President Uhuru Kenyatta received an unexpected birthday surprise on Sunday while attending a wedding ceremony.
Videos shared online captured the lighthearted moment when guests broke into a spontaneous rendition of “Happy Birthday,” leaving the former Head of State visibly surprised. Uhuru, who was accompanied by his wife Margaret and brother Muhoho Kenyatta, smiled as the newlyweds approached him with a cake to mark the occasion.
The former President, who turned 64, joined in the celebration and cut the cake amid cheers and applause from those present.
Uhuru, born on October 26, 1961, is the son of Kenya’s founding President, Jomo Kenyatta, and Mama Ngina Kenyatta. He is the second-born in the family, with siblings Christine, Anna Nyokabi, and Muhoho.
