The Ministry of Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) has launched a 10-week CyberGame Challenge, aiming to equip young Kenyans with advanced cybersecurity skills through interactive gaming.

The initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to enhance digital literacy and prepare the youth for careers in the fast-growing cybersecurity sector. The challenge will provide participants with hands-on experience in ethical hacking, cyber defense, and digital forensics, helping them develop critical problem-solving skills needed in the digital world.

According to the ICT Ministry, the program is open to students, tech enthusiasts, and professionals interested in learning and competing in cybersecurity-related tasks. Winners will receive certifications, mentorship opportunities, and potential job placements in leading tech firms.

The government has been actively working to strengthen Kenya’s cybersecurity infrastructure amid rising cyber threats targeting businesses, government institutions, and individuals. This initiative is expected to create a new generation of cybersecurity experts who can help protect Kenya’s digital economy.

Participants can register for the challenge through the ministry’s official platforms, with competitions set to take place both online and at designated innovation hubs across the country.
