Detectives in Kajiado County have launched investigations following the discovery of a woman’s body in a thicket near Temple Road in Kitengela. The body, which was spotted by a passerby, bore injuries to the back of the neck and around the mouth.
The woman had no identification documents on her, and police say the cause of death and possible motive remain unclear. Her body has been taken to the mortuary for identification and a post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, in a separate case in Kapkesosio, Bomet County, authorities are probing the death of 31-year-old Festus Korir, who was found lifeless in his home. Police reports indicate that Korir had sustained head injuries and was discovered lying in a pool of blood.
Preliminary findings suggest Korir had earlier been involved in a physical confrontation with his brother while the two were fetching water. The altercation escalated into a fight, during which Korir is believed to have sustained the head injuries before heading back home, where he was later found dead.
Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the incident, with plans to arraign him as investigations continue. Korir’s body has also been moved to the mortuary for a post-mortem.
