Controversial preacher Apostle James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Ministry has stirred fresh outrage after a video surfaced online allegedly capturing him making deeply disturbing remarks during a church service.
The undated footage, which has gone viral across multiple social media platforms, appears to show the outspoken cleric recounting an incident in which he and seven others allegedly assaulted a woman years ago. “We assaulted one woman while we were eight people. We did it,” Ng’ang’a is heard saying in the clip as his congregation listens in silence.
The video has sparked a wave of condemnation and disbelief, with many Kenyans expressing anger and demanding accountability. However, questions have also been raised about the authenticity of the clip, which has yet to be independently verified.
Among those calling for a probe is Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris, who urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to launch an immediate investigation.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday morning, Passaris noted that while there remains a possibility that the video could be digitally manipulated, authorities must move quickly to confirm whether it is genuine.
“If true, it would be an admission of a grave crime that demands urgent attention. If fake, then those spreading it should be held accountable,” she wrote.
The viral clip has reignited debate over Ng’ang’a’s long and controversial public record, with many calling on the authorities to treat the matter with the seriousness it deserves.
