President William Ruto has reaffirmed his government’s dedication to making education free, accessible, and meaningful for every child in Kenya. He called it “the most valuable legacy” a country can offer its youth.
While addressing congregants at ACK St. Martin’s Light Industries Church in Kariobangi, Nairobi, the President said his administration is focused on eliminating the barriers that prevent children from accessing quality education.
“Primary education isn’t a privilege it’s a right,” he stressed. “We’ve been working to ensure no child is left behind, especially in densely populated urban neighborhoods like Nairobi.”
Ruto pointed to several efforts already underway, including the construction of new classrooms to curb overcrowding. These efforts, he said, are part of a broader push to make learning environments more supportive and equitable across the country.
“We’re not just talking about access we’re talking about dignity in education,” he added.
