2025 KCSE Results Officially Released as Over 270,000 Candidates Qualify for University Admission

After weeks of anticipation and public speculation, the Ministry of Education has officially made public the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results.

The results were unveiled on Friday, January 9, during a national ceremony held at AIC Chebisaas High School in Eldoret, presided over by Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba and attended by key players in the education sector.

According to figures released by the ministry, a total of 993,226 candidates sat for the 2025 KCSE examinations. Out of this number, approximately 270,000 candidates attained a mean grade of C+ and above, making them eligible for direct admission to universities.

With the announcement now complete, candidates can immediately access their individual results through the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) online platform at results.knec.ac.ke.

The release marks a critical milestone for thousands of learners nationwide as they transition to the next stage of their academic and career journeys.
