As Kenya steadily gears up for the 2027 General Elections, Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes, Geoffrey Ruku, has outlined key government priorities aimed at shaping a more inclusive and progressive future.

Speaking during church services at Kimbimbi Catholic Church in Kirinyaga and later at ACK Muthatari in Embu County, CS Ruku reassured congregants of the Kenya Kwanza administration’s commitment to delivering on its promises—especially those that directly impact citizens’ daily lives.

He noted that the government is working with urgency to revive and complete stalled development projects. “We are not slowing down,” he stated. “President William Ruto has given clear directives no project should be left unfinished. Our ministry is fully aligned with this vision and is collaborating with partners to ensure services reach the people, fast.”

In a bid to both support older citizens and create job opportunities for the youth, CS Ruku unveiled plans for a new initiative that will see young people trained and deployed to assist the elderly in accessing digital government services at Huduma Centres.

“This program is about connection,” he said. “Our young people will help bridge the digital gap for seniors, making sure no one is left behind in public service delivery.”

Turning to healthcare, Ruku urged all Kenyans to register for the Social Health Authority (SHA) scheme, positioning it as a foundation for achieving universal health coverage.

“This is more than a policy it’s a lifeline,” he emphasized. “Every Kenyan deserves access to quality healthcare, and the SHA is how we’ll get there.”

As the country looks ahead to the next election cycle, the CS’s message was clear: development, empowerment, and peace remain the pillars of the government’s agenda.
