Former Mbooni Sub-county MCA Dennis Wambua Masavu was arraigned before the Milimani law courts on Thursday, 3th of August, 2023.
The former MCA is being accused of threatening to murder the current Kisau Kiteta MCA Darius Kioko Mainga.
The accuser, MCA Darius Kioko Mainga posted charges against the former MCA with regard to his speech on the 11th of March 2023.
In his speech, the former MCA , speaking at Ngoni Kisau market said that there was theft with regard to his total votes in the last general election. He added that he had presented the case to the Tawa Court after which his case was dismissed. “There’s no going back. It’s either the current MCA dies or I die” , Denis Wambua Masavu said.
The accused denied the charges saying that he added that there’s no way he can be robbed of the total vote tally and the court gives a directive that he should pay a Million Ksh.
He was arrested on the 2nd of August 2023, taken to the DCI offices in Kiambu and later spent the night in custody at the Muthaiga police station in Nairobi.
The accused was released after paying a two hundred thousand kenya shillings bond.
