Talanta FC’s red-hot striker Emmanuel Osoro says the FKF Premier League Golden Boot is no longer just a dream it’s well within reach.

Osoro has surged to the top of the goal-scoring charts with just three rounds of league action remaining. His resurgence has come at the perfect time, not only boosting his individual stats but also helping lift Talanta FC out of the relegation dogfight.

His latest heroics came on Wednesday, when he bagged a stunning brace to hand title contenders Tusker FC a 2-0 defeat. That performance took his season tally to 16 goals, drawing him level with Moses Shumah of Kakamega Homeboyz, who also found the net in their 2-1 win over Kenya Police.

Both forwards have now leapfrogged Tusker’s Ryan Ogam, who sits on 15 goals. Ogam’s campaign has been hampered by injuries, leaving the door open for rivals to capitalize.

And Osoro has done exactly that.

The forward has found the net in four consecutive games, scoring against heavyweights Gor Mahia and KCB before delivering the decisive double against Tusker. His scoring streak has mirrored Talanta’s climb up the standings the Jackline Juma-coached side now sit 13th on the log with 35 points, comfortably seven above the drop zone.

With just three matches to go, Osoro is not just chasing glory he’s also powering his team toward safety. The Golden Boot may have once felt like a long shot, but now, it’s clearly in his sights.
