A theft suspect has received a mob beating which led to his death at the Kithyoko level 3 hospital in Masinga sub-county where he was being rushed for treatment. The suspect was being charged with theft of Salon equipment from a salon in Kithyoko location and is claimed to have had a master key.
The area chief, Andrew Kyalo Nzuma said that the said suspect had also broken into a shop at Ndatani market.
The chief also said that another suspect who is a friend of the deceased has been apprehended at Komu village in Kithyoko where a 6kg gas barrel, blow-dry, maize flour, sugar and cooking oil were recovered.
The body of the deceased has been taken to the Mbaku funeral home by the police.
