Police in Hamisi Constituency, Vihiga County, are investigating an incident in which a Form Four student was stabbed to death over an alleged love triangle.

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a revenge attack in which nine houses were set ablaze in Musunji village by a group of young men who wanted to avenge the death of the Form Four student.

According to residents, two boys attacked the deceased, one with a knife, stabbing him in the chest and killing him instantly.

The slain student and another were said to have quarrelled over a girlfriend.

The killing sparked an angry response from rioting youths, who torched houses belonging to the girl’s relatives and made off with valuables.

Hamisi police boss Ruth Lagat says no stone will be left unturned until all the perpetrators are brought to book.
