Harry Kane has hinted that he could be ready to extend his stay at Bayern Munich, admitting that his desire to return to the Premier League has faded since moving to Germany.
The England captain has been in remarkable form this season, netting 18 goals in just 10 appearances and playing a crucial role in Bayern’s push to retain their Bundesliga crown.
Now 32, Kane has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German giants since joining from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023. His current contract runs until 2027, but the striker says he is open to talks about a possible extension.
“I could definitely see myself staying longer,” Kane said while on international duty with England ahead of their friendly against Wales and a World Cup qualifier in Latvia.
Reflecting on his earlier ambition to return to English football, Kane admitted his stance has shifted. “If you’d asked me when I first joined Bayern, I’d have said for sure I’d come back to the Premier League. But now, after being here a couple of years, that feeling has changed a bit. I wouldn’t say never but right now, I’m fully focused on Bayern.”
Kane’s consistency has earned high praise from Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund, who recently described him as “probably the best version of Harry Kane there has ever been.”
With his £57 million release clause in place, speculation about his next move is never far away but for now, Kane appears content leading Bayern’s charge both domestically and in Europe.
