A woman from Kolong village in Emgwen constituency , Nandi county on Thursday allegedly killed a man she claims defiled her two- year- old daughter.
Kamondo Patrol Base Police first heard about the incident from the area chief who reported that the woman , identified as Cheptoo , had confessed to killing the alleged paedophile over a phone call.
The police were however barred from accessing the site by an angry mob which sought to kill Cheptoo.
They later managed to rescue the lady , who’s house was eventually burnt to ashes by the mob.
Cheptoo is currently nursing injuries at Kapsabet Referral Hospital pending legal action.
