Former President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday made a return to Murang’a, where he met Jubilee Party grassroots leaders at Kenol.

Accompanied by Party Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni and former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i, Uhuru’s visit signalled renewed efforts to re-energise the party’s political base in the Mt. Kenya region.

The closed-door session brought together Jubilee officials and constituency representatives to discuss strategies for strengthening the party’s grassroots networks, enhancing unity, and reviving its regional influence.

According to sources within the party, the Murang’a meeting marks the beginning of a broader push to reorganise Jubilee’s structures and chart its political roadmap ahead of future contests. The leaders are also expected to outline measures to boost the visibility and relevance of the party in the changing Mt. Kenya political landscape.
